Avery Csezmadia was near a greenhouse approximately 20 feet from the burning apartment when he heard smoke alarms sounding. Recognizing the urgency, he immediately knocked on the door of the apartment involved. After receiving no response, he noticed another door slightly ajar, prompting him to intensify his efforts.
Heroic Actions in a Life-Threatening Situation
