Fred Warner Out, Ricky Pearsall Questionable for 49ers vs. Seahawks Clash

The San Francisco 49ers are facing significant challenges ahead of their divisional round clash against the Seattle Seahawks. Notably, linebacker Fred Warner will not participate due to an ankle injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed this decision during a press conference on Thursday.

Injury Updates for the 49ers

The 49ers initially opened a 21-day practice window for Warner earlier this week. However, he has only been a limited participant in practice sessions. Despite this, Shanahan mentioned that Warner “looked good” during those limited activities.

If the 49ers manage to defeat the Seahawks, there is optimism that Warner will be ready for the NFC Championship Game. Along with Warner, safety Ji’Ayir Brown will also miss this week’s game due to a hamstring injury.

Questionable Players Ahead of the Game

Several other players are listed as questionable for the matchup:

  • Ricky Pearsall (knee)
  • Dee Winters (ankle)
  • Luke Gifford (quad)
  • Jacob Cowing (hamstring)

The 49ers will need to adjust their strategies significantly to cope with these injury setbacks as they prepare for their critical game against the Seahawks.
