J. Harrison Ghee and More Stars Join Broadway’s Hadestown

The acclaimed Broadway musical Hadestown is preparing for a significant cast change this winter. Starting March 3, 2024, an impressive lineup of talent will take the stage at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
New Cast Members Announced
Among the new principal cast members is J. Harrison Ghee, a Tony and Grammy award winner, who will portray Hermes. Ghee is known for his roles in Some Like It Hot, Saturday Church, and Accused.

- Joshua Colley as Orpheus: The Disney alumni and Broadway performer, known for Descendants: The Rise of Red.
- Jordan Tyson as Eurydice: Previously seen in The Notebook and Gypsy.
- Gary Dourdan as Hades: Making his Broadway debut, Dourdan is known for his work in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
- Gaby Moreno as Persephone: This will be Moreno’s Broadway debut; she is a Grammy award-winning artist.
The current cast, featuring Morgan Dudley, Kurt Elling, Allison Russell, Paulo Szot, and Jack Wolfe, will conclude their performances on March 1.
Background of Hadestown
Hadestown, a fusion of folk and jazz elements, first premiered as a theatrical concert by Anaïs Mitchell. The production intertwines the tales of Orpheus and Eurydice with the myth of Hades and Persephone. This Tony-winning show has won eight awards in its inaugural year, including Best Musical and accolades for its design and original score.
