Matt Hardy Declares Live Broadcasting Optional

TNA Wrestling is entering a transformative phase, with its flagship program “TNA Impact” set to air live on AMC starting January 15, 2026. This marks a significant shift in the company’s broadcasting strategy, moving away from bulk-taped weekly episodes.

Matt Hardy Comments on Live Broadcasting

Current TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy publicly expressed his enthusiasm for this new stage of TNA. On his podcast, “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” he emphasized that while live broadcasts are beneficial, they are not essential for the show’s success. He stated, “I think live is very nice. When you can have a live show on a more regular basis, that’s a good thing. But I don’t think it’s mandatory.”

Upcoming Live Broadcasts

  • January 15, 2026: Live from Dallas, Texas
  • January 22, 2026: Live from Albuquerque, New Mexico

Fans in these cities will have the opportunity to attend the live events. This initiative also coincides with TNA’s new television deal, which aims to enhance interaction with the audience.

Genesis Pay-Per-View Event

In addition to the live broadcasts, TNA will host its Genesis pay-per-view event on January 17 in Dallas. After this event, there will be a taping of “Impact” in Albuquerque. This schedule indicates that not all shows will be live; some will continue to be pre-recorded.

Exciting Matches on January 15

The January 15 episode of “Impact” will feature several high-stakes matches:

  • Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff Hardy teaming up with Elijah against Order 4
  • AJ Styles making a special appearance
  • Three title matches, including:
    • The IInspiration defending the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against The Elegance Brand
    • Leon Slater defending the TNA X-Division Championship against Myron Reed
    • Frankie Kazarian defending the TNA World Championship against former champion Mike Santana

This blend of live broadcasting and compelling matchups signals an exciting new era for TNA Wrestling. Fans are encouraged to tune in and experience the action firsthand.
