Adesanya vs. Pyfer, Barber vs. Grasso 2 Set for UFC Seattle

UFC Seattle is set to feature two highly anticipated matchups in March 2026. The main event will showcase a middleweight bout between former champion Israel Adesanya and rising contender Joe Pyfer. This announcement was made by UFC president Dana White.
Adesanya vs. Pyfer: A Key Middleweight Clash
Israel Adesanya, sporting a record of 24 wins and 5 losses (24-5-0), is currently ranked sixth in the middleweight division. The former two-time champion has struggled recently, enduring a three-fight losing streak. His last bout took place in February 2025, where he suffered a second-round TKO defeat to Nassourdine Imavov.
On the other hand, Joe Pyfer enters this matchup with a record of 15 wins and 3 losses (15-3-0). Having recently climbed to the 15th rank in the division, Pyfer comes into this fight with significant momentum, riding a four-fight winning streak. His latest victory was a second-round submission against Abus Magomedov at UFC 320 in October 2025.
Women’s Flyweight Rematch: Barber vs. Grasso 2
Also on the UFC Seattle card is a rematch in the women’s flyweight division between Alexa Grasso and Maycee Barber. Grasso, a former titleholder, won their first encounter in 2021 by decision and is currently ranked third in the division. Despite her past successes, Grasso is winless in her last three fights. After becoming champion by defeating Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285, she experienced a draw and then lost a trilogy matchup with Shevchenko in 2024. Grasso last fought in May 2025, losing to Natalia Silva.
Maycee Barber, ranked fifth, is on a seven-fight winning streak and has not lost since 2022. After recovering from various injuries, the 27-year-old American looks to capitalize on her momentum against Grasso. This rematch promises to be an exciting addition to the UFC Seattle lineup.
