Five Injured in Sterling Heights Party Shooting; Two Arrested

Early Saturday morning, five individuals were injured in a shooting at a house party in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on January 10. Sterling Heights Police responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 3000 block of 14 Mile Road.
Details of the Incident
Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims who had been shot. A fifth person sought medical attention on her own, driving to the hospital. One of the victims suffered severe injuries, but quick action by the police, including the application of a tourniquet, likely saved their life.
Cause of the Shooting
Authorities reported that the shooting stemmed from an argument between two attendees at the party. Both men brandished handguns and exchanged fire, resulting in injuries to themselves and three bystanders who were not involved in the dispute.
Arrests Made
In connection with the shooting, two suspects are currently in custody at the hospital. Fortunately, all five injured individuals are expected to recover from their injuries.
