Glenn, Liu, Levito Thrill St. Louis Audience

The 2026 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships kicked off in St. Louis, showcasing incredible performances from top skaters. The Enterprise Center hosted an electrifying senior competition featuring Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu, and Isabeau Levito, all of whom achieved personal-best scores, thrilling the audience.

Outstanding Performances by Leading Skaters

Amber Glenn, a two-time and reigning U.S. champion, made headlines by posting a remarkable score of 83.05. This achievement set a new record for the women’s short program at the U.S. Championships, surpassing the previous record of 79.40 held by Bradie Tennell in 2021. Glenn performed her routine to “Like a Prayer” by Madonna, landing a clean triple Axel and a triple flip-triple toe combination, both scoring over 10 points.

“I feel ecstatic,” Glenn expressed after her performance. She credited her late grandmother as a source of strength during her skate, sharing an emotional connection to her experience.

Alysa Liu, the reigning World champion, followed Glenn’s performance with her own outstanding skate to “Promise” by Laufey. Liu posted a personal record of 81.11, placing her second heading into the free skate. She expressed her satisfaction with her routine, highlighting her successful triple Lutz-triple loop that earned the highest score for any element at the event.

Isabeau Levito, the current U.S. champion and 2024 World silver medalist, finished the night in third place with a score of 75.72. Levito was pleased with her performance, which included a strong opening combination and all Level 4 elements.

Pairs Competition Highlights

The defending U.S. pairs champions, Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov, also impressed the audience with a nearly flawless short program. They scored 75.31 points, reflecting their strong training together since June 2023. Skating to “Cloak and Dagger” by Eternal Eclipse, they overcame nerves to deliver a commendable routine.

Audrey Shin and Balazs Nagy, who debuted a new program to “El Tango De Roxanne” from Moulin Rouge!, also delivered an impressive performance, achieving a personal best of 67.67. This performance was aided by the guidance of two-time Olympic ice dance champion Tessa Virtue.

Upcoming Competitions

The free skate performances for both singles and pairs will be crucial as skaters aim for top placements. The anticipation builds as the championships continue, highlighting the intense level of competition.
