CF Montréal Secures Forward Daniel Ríos Acquisition

CF Montréal has finalized the acquisition of forward Daniel Ríos, enhancing their offensive capabilities for the upcoming seasons. The Mexican player has committed to a contract covering the 2026 season, with potential options extending through June 2027 and into the 2027-28 season.

Luca Saputo, the Managing Director of Recruitment and Sporting Methodology at CF Montréal, expressed enthusiasm about Ríos’s arrival. He believes Ríos’s experience and leadership will play a crucial role in strengthening the team’s roster balance.

Ríos, who previously played for Vancouver Whitecaps FC on loan from Club Deportivo Guadalajara, had an impressive season with three goals and three assists across 31 matches. He also contributed to the team’s playoff run with one goal.
