Lezama is committed to enhancing connectivity to maintain the Mexican Caribbean’s status as a leading tourist destination.

Although Cancún International Airport underperformed in 2025, particularly in international markets, experts are optimistic about the future. Francisco Madrid Flores, head of the Center for Advanced Research in Sustainable Tourism, noted a recovery trend driven by new routes.

The introduction of these flights not only aims to augment visitor numbers but also reflects ongoing efforts to support the local economy and enhance the travel experience to and from this popular destination.
