Jonty Bravery, a 24-year-old man serving a life sentence for a shocking crime, has been sentenced again for assaulting two nurses at Broadmoor Hospital. In September 2024, Bravery assaulted nurses Linda McKinlay and Kate Mastalerz while being monitored in the psychiatric facility. During a break from supervision, he became aggressive, kicking Nurse Mastalerz in the thigh and scratching Nurse McKinlay’s face, causing her to bleed. The assault unfolded as Bravery attempted to climb onto a ledge after asking to use the toilet. Prosecutor Tom Heslop stated that Bravery required constant monitoring by three staff members.
