Unleash Star Wars Creativity with New LEGO SMART Play Sets

LEGO fans are set to experience a groundbreaking innovation that merges creativity with interactivity. The unveiling of the LEGO SMART Play platform introduces new building experiences featuring the beloved Star Wars franchise. This innovative system allows LEGO creations to respond to play, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Introduction to the LEGO SMART Play Platform
On display at the Consumer Electronics Show, the LEGO SMART Play platform signifies a landmark advancement for the LEGO System-in-Play. This innovation follows the introduction of the LEGO Minifigure back in 1978. The platform integrates three key elements: the LEGO SMART Brick, LEGO SMART Tags, and LEGO SMART Minifigures.
Interactive Building Experience
At its core is the LEGO SMART Brick. Equipped with a custom chip smaller than a standard LEGO stud, this advanced brick brings interactive features to life. When paired with SMART Tags and Minifigures, the user’s creations can react in real-time.
New LEGO Star Wars Sets
The first sets to utilize this technology are from the LEGO Star Wars collection. The three ‘All-In-One’ sets include:
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Luke’s Red Five X-Wing
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter
- LEGO Star Wars SMART Play: Throne Room Duel & A-Wing
These sets will deliver iconic Star Wars sounds to enhance the play experience. Users can unlock features like Lightsaber hums and the engine roars of the A-wing. The Emperor Palpatine figure even triggers “The Imperial March” theme music.
Availability and Launch Details
Each set will come with a LEGO SMART Brick, charger, and at least one LEGO SMART Minifigure along with a SMART Tag. These new LEGO Star Wars sets will launch on March 1, 2026. They will be available for purchase on DisneyStore.com and in select markets.
The LEGO SMART Play platform offers fans an exciting way to combine building and play. This innovative approach will undoubtedly enhance the LEGO experience for enthusiasts old and new.
