Ann Marie “Pepe” Wanders Passes Away: Obituary January 2, 2026

AnnMarie “Pepe” Wanders, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at Boston Medical Center South in Brockton. Born in Dorchester, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and Dedham. AnnMarie proudly graduated from Dedham High School in 1960.

Family and Personal Life

In 1968, AnnMarie married David M. Wanders. They shared over 57 years of marriage and raised two children together. AnnMarie was a resident of Stoughton since 1968. Sadly, she lost her husband, David M. Wanders, Sr., in September 2025.

AnnMarie is survived by her son, David M. Wanders, Jr., and his wife, Linda, both of Stoughton. She also leaves behind her cherished daughter, Dianne M. Wanders, who predeceased her. AnnMarie was a devoted sister to Robert Pepe and his wife Howe Pepe of Norwood. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Kellyann and Kaitlynn Wanders, Tiffany Myers, Linda Myers, and Madison Bryant.

Career and Hobbies

Throughout her career, AnnMarie worked at Chadwick’s of Boston in West Bridgewater until her retirement in 1997. Despite her deafness, she thrived, becoming an expert lip reader. Her determination allowed her to lead a fulfilling life. AnnMarie enjoyed walks, needlepoint, and reading, particularly the National Enquirer. She also loved trips to Foxwoods.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements

Visiting hours for AnnMarie will take place at Farley Funeral Home, located at 358 Park St., Stoughton, on January 6, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM. The funeral service will be held the following day at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
