Lieutenant James Warren Caang, spokesperson for the North Cotabato Police Provincial Office, confirmed the shootout occurred around 8 PM. The police are actively pursuing the remaining suspect to ensure the safety of the community.

Driver Summoned for Violent Behavior in Cagayan de Oro

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Region 10 has initiated proceedings against a female driver who gained notoriety for brandishing a firearm and making obscene gestures towards another motorist in Cagayan de Oro City. The incident involved a white Isuzu pick-up truck.

LTO Region 10 director, Nelson Manaloto, has issued a show cause order to both the driver and the vehicle’s registered owner. They are required to explain why the driver’s license should not face suspension or revocation due to her actions.

A recent police operation in Butuan City led to the arrest of 10 individuals for illegal gold mining. The operation took place on Monday at a mining camp located in Barangay Bilay.

According to Lt. Col. Randie Azote, commander of the Butuan City Mobile Force Company, the suspects were unable to present the necessary documentation for their mining activities. They have been charged under Section 8 of Republic Act No. 7076, known as the People’s Small-Scale Mining Act, and are currently detained at the Butuan City Jail.
