Danish Midfielder Oscar Fraulo Signs with Derby County

Derby County has secured Danish midfielder Oscar Fraulo in a recent transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 22-year-old player has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.

Background and Career Development

Fraulo began his football journey in Denmark with FC Midtjylland. He made his professional debut in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds at just 17, facing PSV Eindhoven.

Move to Borussia Mönchengladbach

In the summer of 2022, Fraulo transitioned to the German side Borussia Mönchengladbach. Throughout the 2022/2023 Bundesliga season, he made appearances off the bench against teams like Red Bull Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart.

Loan Experience at FC Utrecht

To enhance his skills and gain first-team experience, Fraulo was loaned to FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons. During his time there, he made 64 appearances, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.

After returning to his parent club before the 2025/2026 season, Fraulo made five substitute appearances this campaign. Notably, he scored in a 4-0 victory at St. Pauli.
