Eurostar Restores Normal Service After Channel Tunnel Disruption

Eurostar has resumed normal operations following disruptions experienced on Wednesday morning. Most trains at London St Pancras are now in service. Only three trains faced cancellations due to the impact of the earlier issues.

Service Status

According to Eurostar’s official updates, the following cancellations occurred:

  • One train to Paris Gare du Nord
  • One train to Brussels Midi
  • One train to Amsterdam Centraal

Despite these cancellations, Eurostar has confirmed that they expect to operate all scheduled services for the day.

Apologies and Compensation

Eurostar issued an apology to passengers for the disturbances. They advised customers that, while all services are expected to run, some delays or last-minute cancellations may still occur. Passengers are encouraged to check the Eurostar website for live updates.

To address inconveniences, Eurostar offers enhanced compensation options. This includes:

  • 100% refund of the ticket price
  • 150% of the ticket cost as an e-voucher

Le Shuttle Operations

Le Shuttle services from Folkestone are operating normally after resolving earlier delays. However, delays at Calais remain at approximately one hour, reduced from earlier estimates of six hours.
