Seahawks vs. 49ers: Seattle Adds Lineman to Injury Report

The Seattle Seahawks face significant injury concerns ahead of their crucial matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. With the NFC West title and the No. 1 seed on the line, the Seahawks conducted a walkthrough on Tuesday instead of a traditional practice.
Injury Concerns for Seahawks
Left tackle Charles Cross remains a significant question mark. He is listed as a non-participant due to a hamstring injury, which may sideline him for the rest of the regular season. Additionally, backup tackle Josh Jones has also been marked as did not participate (DNP) due to ankle and knee injuries.
In response to these injuries, the Seahawks signed rookie undrafted free agent Amari Kight to the active roster. He may step in as the team’s third left tackle if needed.
Other Injury Updates
Wide receiver and return specialist Rashid Shaheed is currently limited as he progresses through concussion protocol. The team’s hopes hinge on his ability to clear the protocol ahead of the game. Safety Coby Bryant showed improvements, being listed as a limited participant in practice, a positive shift from his previous DNP status.
Other players on the Seahawks’ injury report did participate fully in practice.
49ers Injury Report
The San Francisco 49ers are also managing their injuries. Star running back Christian McCaffrey is experiencing back tightness, though it doesn’t appear to be serious. Trent Williams is another key player to monitor; he injured his hamstring during last Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
A regular practice session is anticipated on Wednesday, followed by another session on Thursday. These practices will be critical as teams prepare for a pivotal game, with final designations for players expected to be announced afterwards.
