Maman Dion Foundation to Cease Operations Wednesday

The Maman Dion Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth in Quebec, will cease operations on Wednesday. The announcement was made on Monday via social media.
Foundation’s Mission and Activities
Established in 2005 by Thérèse Tanguay Dion, the foundation aimed to help children aged 5 to 16 from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its mission focused on fostering self-esteem and a desire for academic success among these youth.

Gratitude to Supporters
In its farewell message, the Maman Dion Foundation expressed gratitude to its sponsors, partners, donors, and volunteers. Their contributions played a significant role in the foundation’s impact over the past 20 years.
Founder’s Legacy
Thérèse Tanguay Dion, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 92, was the mother of 14 children, including the renowned singer Céline Dion. Her daughter, Claudette Dion, served as the foundation’s general manager and spokesperson.
