Garrett McGuire Wins Virginia House District 17 Firehouse Primary

The Fairfax County Democratic Committee has declared Garrett McGuire as the winner of Virginia’s firehouse primary for House District 17. The results were announced on a recent Sunday following a competitive election involving four candidates.

A total of 2,356 votes were cast in this primary race. The final vote count is as follows:

  • Garrett McGuire: 801 votes
  • Joy McManus: 747 votes
  • Carla Bustillos: 537 votes
  • Russell Brooks: 271 votes

McGuire expressed his gratitude, saying he is “honored and grateful to be the Democratic nominee for House District 17.” He thanked voters and volunteers for their support and expressed eagerness to serve Fairfax County.
