Northern Minnesota Crash: 2 Dead, 2 Injured, Reports Sheriff’s Office

A tragic crash in Thompson Township, Minnesota, has resulted in two fatalities and left two others injured. The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred on Friday morning at approximately 9:02 a.m.

The collision took place at the intersection of East Stark Road and Canosia Road. Emergency responders, including deputies, arrived promptly at the scene.

Involved Parties

  • Vehicles: A GMC Sierra pickup truck and a Chevrolet Impala.
  • Causalities:
    • Anthony Drake, 57, driver of the Chevrolet, deceased at the scene.
    • Tammy Drake, 57, sole passenger in the Chevrolet, also deceased.
    • A 1-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man in the GMC, both from Thompson Township, were hospitalized.

Investigation Notes

According to the sheriff’s office, both vehicles were discovered in a ditch near the intersection. Fortunately, alcohol is not considered a factor in this incident. The condition of the injured individuals remains unclear, as details on the extent of their injuries have not yet been disclosed.
