Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) hosted its annual Christmas concert and toy drive on December 17 in Watts, Los Angeles. The event drew hundreds of community members and fans excited to celebrate the holiday season and support local children.
A Star-Studded Lineup
This year’s concert featured notable performances from a variety of artists. Ab-Soul, Lance Skiiwalker, SZA, Jay Rock, Ray Vaughn, and Sir took the stage, but the highlights were special guest appearances by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
- Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre delivered classic hits including “Next Episode” and “California Love.”
- Mario performed fan favorites like “Just A Friend” and “Let Me Love You,” adding a nostalgic R&B flair.
- Monica captivated the audience with tracks “One of Them Days” and “So Gone,” reminiscent of the ’90s.
Kendrick Lamar’s Surprise Appearance
Though Kendrick Lamar was not part of the official lineup, his unexpected appearance electrified the crowd. When the beat for “Squabble Up” dropped, fans erupted in excitement. Following this, SZA joined and performed “30 for 30,” showcasing her signature style.
SZA continued the momentum with a mesmerizing performance of “Luther” before inviting a young fan to join her for “Snooze.”
Community and Charity Focus
The concert, organized by TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, emphasized community involvement. Entry to the event required attendees to bring unwrapped toys, which would be distributed to children in the Nickerson Gardens neighborhood the following day.
In addition, families enjoyed various activities, including games and raffles, promoting a fun and festive atmosphere.
