Recent Performances and Statements
Garbage recently completed a tour in New Zealand and Australia, supporting their latest album, “Let All That We Imagine Be The Light,” released in May 2025. During a Sydney Opera House concert, lead vocalist Shirley Manson addressed the tragic Bondi Beach shooting, expressing concerns about the growing violence and intolerance in the world.
Manson has been outspoken about her experiences in the music industry, discussing the financial pressures artists face. She stated that success in today’s music industry often favors those who are already financially secure.
Upcoming Special Events
In March 2026, Garbage is scheduled to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London alongside Placebo. This event is part of the Teenage Cancer Trust live series, curated by Robert Smith of The Cure.
As Garbage continues to evolve, Manson emphasizes her individuality and independence as a seasoned artist. She believes in expressing herself authentically without the pressure to conform to societal expectations.
With these new tour dates and recent performances, Garbage is set to further solidify their legacy in the music scene as they celebrate their past and embrace the future.
