Tommy Cash to Headline Albania’s Festivali i Këngës 64

Tommy Cash, the notable Estonian artist, is set to perform at Festivali i Këngës 64, as confirmed by RTSH. This annual music festival plays a significant role in determining Albania’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Event Details for Festivali i Këngës 64

Festivali i Këngës 64 will take place from December 17 to December 20, 2023. The event will feature a total of 28 acts, comprising 18 established artists and 10 newcomers. The festival will be held at the Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana.

Performance Schedule

  • The first two nights will showcase performances from all 28 acts.
  • The third night will be a nostalgia-themed event.
  • The final night will determine the festival winner.

Voting and Evaluation Criteria

The outcome of Festivali i Këngës 64 will be determined through a combination of voting methods:

  • 50% from a professional jury.
  • 25% from public televoting in Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
  • 25% from international online voting.

Online voting will be conducted via the “FiK – Festivali i Këngës” app, which will also provide live streaming of the performances in both Albanian and English.

Tommy Cash’s Eurovision Background

Tommy Cash gained recognition after finishing third in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. He performed his entry, “Espresso Macchiato,” for Estonia in Basel, achieving a ninth place with the jury and second with the public.

Albania’s Eurovision Success

Albania has a rich history with the Eurovision Song Contest, debuting in 2004. The nation secured a seventh place in its inaugural performance with Anjeza Shahini. Since then, Albania has participated in every edition and successfully reached the grand final 11 additional times.

The country’s best results include a fifth-place finish in 2012 with Rona Nishliu’s song “Suus.” Recently, in 2025, Shkodra Elektronike represented Albania, finishing eighth with their entry “Zjerm” and achieving a total of 218 points.
