The upcoming year will see a diverse range of content, including new characters and familiar faces. Here are the Marvel projects slated for 2026:

  • Punisher Special Presentation: Jon Bernthal will return as Frank Castle in a special project releasing sometime in 2026. The main antagonist will be Ma Gnucci, and it is anticipated to be cross-promoted with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
  • VisionQuest: This series will see the return of Paul Bettany as Vision and James Spader as Ultron. This project will also serve as the culmination of a trilogy that began with WandaVision.
  • X-Men ’97 Season 2: Following the cliffhanger of the first season, this animated series will introduce at least 10 new Marvel characters. The release date is yet to be announced.
  • Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2: This animated series will return with a new iteration of Peter Parker and the introduction of classic villains like Doc Ock and Scorpion. Specific release timing is still pending.

Additional Notable Releases

Though not included in Disney’s official announcement, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in July 2026. This film will be co-produced by Columbia Pictures and is integral to the MCU, despite being distributed by Sony Pictures.

With these projects, 2026 promises to be a landmark year for Marvel Studios, continuing its legacy of storytelling while deepening connections between characters across various formats.
