The National Weather Service (NWS) has released a Cold Weather Advisory for several counties in Illinois. This advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday and includes:

- Kankakee
- Kendall

- Lake (Ill.)

Additionally, Waukesha County in Wisconsin is under a similar advisory until 10 a.m. Sunday.
Weather Impact and Precautions
On Sunday night, low temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits. Wind chills could feel as low as -10°F to -15°F. The NWS warns that road conditions may become slippery. Low temperatures might affect snow removal efforts, leading to potential hazards on the roads.
Wind gusts approaching 25 mph could cause snow to drift back onto roadways. Authorities advise that frostbite can set in within minutes if proper clothing is not worn. In response to the extreme cold, Aurora will have a warming center available from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., offering meals and cots for those in need.

On Sunday morning, ahead of the Chicago Bears game at Soldier Field, conditions will be at their coldest. Fans and players must prepare for wind chills ranging from -5°F to -10°F during the match.

While Sunday features severe cold, the forecast shows a warming trend for the upcoming week. Temperatures may rise into the 40s by Wednesday. However, Monday morning is still expected to see wind chills around -10°F, with afternoon highs reaching the 20s.
