Details of the Incident
The collision took place at the intersection of Bergenline Avenue and JFK Boulevard East. Upon arrival, North Bergen police officers discovered an injured man. The man, later identified as 66-year-old Alan Harris from Hackensack, had been struck by the NJ Transit bus, which remained at the scene.
Immediate Aftermath
Alan Harris was promptly transported to Palisades Medical Center. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, on December 10, 2025.

Following the notification of Harris’s death, the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit took charge of the inquiry on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The North Bergen Police Department is assisting in the investigation.
