Ortiz Achieves Personal Best in Mile at Seahawk Shootout

John Ortiz delivered an outstanding performance at the Seahawk Shootout, setting a personal best in the Mile event. This race took place at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York, marking an important milestone for the Hofstra men’s indoor track and field team in 2025.

In his second meet of the season, Ortiz finished the Mile race with an impressive time of 4:20.40. This result secured him third place among 63 competitors, showcasing his remarkable improvement.

William Thu led the men’s team with a strong second-place finish in the 3000m Run, completing the race in 8:20.32. Meanwhile, Callum Beach followed closely behind, securing eighth place with a time of 8:42.77.
