FC Barcelona Announces Squad for Osasuna Match

FC Barcelona is set to face Osasuna this Saturday at the Spotify Camp Nou, kick-off at 18:30 hours. Currently leading LaLiga with 40 points, the team aims to extend their gap ahead of Real Madrid, who trails by four points. Osasuna, known for their resilience, is coming off a vital victory against Levante, helping them temporarily avoid relegation.
FC Barcelona’s Squad Announcement for Osasuna Match
The Catalan club has revealed its squad for the LaLiga EA Sports match, which is part of the 16th round. Unfortunately, several players will miss the match, similar to the previous game against Eintracht Frankfurt. The absentees include:
- Gavi
- Araujo
- Dani Olmo
Gavi is progressively recovering and continues training in the gym at Ciutat Esportiva. However, he won’t return to action until February 2026. Araujo is currently taking a break in Tel Aviv to recover emotionally after receiving a red card in the Champions League match against Chelsea. Dani Olmo, who is dealing with a shoulder dislocation, aims to come back for the derby against Espanyol on January 4 or, at the latest, the Supercopa de España semifinals against Athletic Club on January 7.
Last-Minute Injuries and Squad Changes
In addition to the players mentioned, Marc-André ter Stegen, who recently returned to the squad against Eintracht, is now sidelined. Coach Hansi Flick has announced that Joan Garcia will start as the goalkeeper, marking his first league appearance since May 25. Another notable absence is Wojciech Szczesny, who will not be on the bench due to gastroenteritis.
Younger players have been called up to fill the void. Flick selected both Dro and Bardghji, who belong to the reserve team but have been training with the first team. Other academy players, including Kochen, Jofre Torrents, and Tommy, complete the squad.
