Closure of Award-Winning School Meals Company
The ongoing cost of living crisis has resulted in the closure of CATERed, a well-regarded school meals service in Plymouth. For over a decade, CATERed provided high-quality meals to nearly 60 schools, serving more than 10,000 meals daily. The company will continue operations until the end of the academic year in July 2026, while its community meals service will conclude at the end of February 2026 due to financial strains.

The Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT), located at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, has earned a prestigious accolade. Its Learning Team was named Education & Learning Team of the Year at the School Travel Awards 2025. The OCT’s Learning Programme offers various curriculum-linked experiences, enabling teachers to incorporate pro-Ocean education effectively into their classrooms.
