Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Southern Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southern West Virginia. The advisory is effective from late Thursday night until early Friday afternoon.
Weather Forecast
According to meteorologists, a clipper system is expected to affect the region. This system is predicted to bring between 1 to 4 inches of snow to the affected areas.
Snow Accumulation Estimates
- Southern Coalfields: 3 to 4 inches
- Charleston-Huntington Corridor: 1 to 3 inches
Residents should prepare for winter conditions as snowfall begins late Thursday evening. The advisory will remain in effect until 1 p.m. on Friday, warning of possible hazardous travel conditions.
