Sabalenka Signs Jimmy Fallon’s Forehead on ‘The Tonight Show’

Aryna Sabalenka made a notable appearance on El-Balad’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, returning to 30 Rock in Manhattan. The World No. 1 is known for her impressive performances on the tennis court and her engaging personality off it. This visit marked a shift from her previous cameo alongside comedian Fred Armisen after her second consecutive US Open title in September.
Sabalenka’s Insightful Conversation
During a seven-minute segment, Sabalenka discussed several topics including her love for New York and her experiences with performance pressure. The athlete humorously shared how her mind sometimes wanders during matches. She candidly admitted to thinking about dinner plans when she has a significant lead, stating, “Did my team make the reservation in my favorite place?” This confession elicited laughter from the audience and showcased her down-to-earth nature.
Superstitions and Good Luck Charms
Another interesting topic was Sabalenka’s superstition involving her long-time coach, Jason Stacy. She explained how the practice of signing his bald head began. The quirky tradition started as a joke among the team but eventually turned into a good luck charm. “I found a Sharpie, I did sign it, and it brought good luck. I won the tournament,” she recalled.
Although she hadn’t signed Stacy’s head recently, Fallon humorously requested her signature on his forehead. Sabalenka complied, making for a light-hearted moment during the show.
