City Officials Announce Road Closures for Army-Navy Game at M&T Bank Stadium
Drivers in Baltimore should prepare for temporary road closures associated with the upcoming Army-Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium. The highly anticipated game is set to kick off at 3 p.m. on December 13.
Road Closure Details for the Army-Navy Game
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BDCOT) will implement several road closures starting at noon on game day. These closures are essential for ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic around the stadium.
Specific Road Closures
- Russell Street Service Drive: Closed northbound between West and Hamburg Streets.
- Hamburg Street Bridge: Closed between Leaden Hall and Paca Streets for game entrance.
- Ostend Street Bridge: Closed between Sharp and Warner Streets for game entrance.
Once the game commences, many closures will be lifted until the fourth quarter. However, special traffic patterns will be implemented along several streets to facilitate egress after the game.
Special Traffic Patterns
- Temporary patterns along Warner Street between Ostend Street Bridge and Stockholm Street will assist with ingress.
- For egress, special traffic arrangements will be in place on:
- Warner Street
- Alluvion Street
- Worcester Street
- Bayard Street
- Hamburg Street: Closed between Hanover and Charles Streets for egress beginning at the fourth quarter.
Additionally, southbound travel on Hanover Street between Henrietta and Hamburg Streets will not be allowed once the fourth quarter begins. All traffic will be redirected onto Henrietta Street for east or westbound travel.
Parking and Transportation Advice
Football fans heading to M&T Bank Stadium should adhere to all posted parking restrictions. Residential permit parking rules in the area will be enforced rigorously. Attendees are encouraged to utilize commercial parking lots and avoid local neighborhoods to minimize disruption.
For those without a parking permit for stadium lots, public transportation options are recommended, including the Charm City Circulator, as advised by BDCOT.
Expect Heavy Traffic
High traffic volumes are anticipated in Downtown Baltimore on game day. Transportation Enforcement Officers will be on-site to assist with traffic movement. Drivers should remain vigilant for pedestrian and vehicular traffic and prepare for potential changes before and during the event.
