Unlicensed Food Truck Operating Illegally Discovered

A food truck from the popular national brand, Cousins Maine Lobster, was recently found to be operating illegally in Richland, Pennsylvania. The Allegheny County Health Department shut it down for failing to secure the necessary permits.

Last week, authorities ordered the truck to cease operations due to various health violations. Key issues included inadequate cleaning and sanitization, insufficient plumbing for critical fixtures, and operating without a valid food permit. The health department’s inspection also emphasized that the food truck needed to display a valid health permit visibly to the public.

Response from Cousins Maine Lobster

In a follow-up statement, Annalisa Sangiovanni, an administrator for Cousins Maine Lobster’s Pittsburgh franchises, reported that the issues have been resolved. She explained that a replacement truck had been utilized while the original truck was being brought up to code. “Our Pitt truck is back,” she confirmed.
