Vietnam Rises to Third in SEA Games 33 Medal Standings

Vietnam has made a significant mark at the SEA Games 33, currently ranking third in the overall medal standings. This year’s event is taking place from December 9 to December 20, across three key locations: Chonburi, Bangkok, and Songkhla.

Current Medal Standings at SEA Games 33

As of December 11, Thailand leads the standings with a remarkable total of 50 medals, comprising:

  • 27 Gold Medals (HCV)
  • 14 Silver Medals (HCB)
  • 9 Bronze Medals (HCĐ)

Vietnam is in second place, showcasing a strong performance with:

  • 9 Gold Medals (HCV)
  • 5 Silver Medals (HCB)
  • 20 Bronze Medals (HCĐ)

Indonesia follows closely, holding the third position with the following tally:

  • 7 Gold Medals (HCV)
  • 13 Silver Medals (HCB)
  • 10 Bronze Medals (HCĐ)

Singapore ranks fourth, having achieved:

  • 5 Gold Medals (HCV)
  • 4 Silver Medals (HCB)
  • 7 Bronze Medals (HCĐ)

The remaining positions are occupied by Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Notably, Laos earned its first gold medal at SEA Games 33, showcasing the competitiveness of this year’s games. Brunei secured a silver medal, while Timor Leste captured a bronze.

Event Overview

This SEA Games edition features around 9,366 athletes competing in 50 distinct sports. A total of 574 medal sets will be awarded, which is a slight decrease from the previous SEA Games. This event fosters regional unity and promotes sportsmanship across Southeast Asia.

As the games continue, all participating delegations have succeeded in earning medals, highlighting the inclusive spirit of the SEA Games 33.
