La Liga Suspensions Sideline Real Madrid Players Until 2026

Real Madrid faces a challenging period following their loss to Celta Vigo. The team will be without four key players due to suspensions, impacting their lineup for upcoming matches.

Details of the Suspensions for Real Madrid Players

During the recent match at the Bernabéu, three players were sent off. Fran Garcia received two yellow cards, resulting in a red, while Alvaro Carreras and Endrick Felipe were dismissed for dissent. Additionally, club captain Dani Carvajal, not in the squad, was cautioned for comments made to referee Alejandro Quintero Gonzalez.

Suspension Lengths and Upcoming Matches

The suspensions issued are as follows:

  • Alvaro Carreras – two-match suspension
  • Endrick Felipe – two-match suspension
  • Dani Carvajal – two-match suspension
  • Fran Garcia – one-match suspension

All four players will miss the upcoming match against Alaves, with Carreras, Endrick, and Carvajal also sidelined for the final match of 2025 against Sevilla.

Implications of the Suspensions

The absence of these players is significant, particularly for Endrick, who is anticipated to join Lyon in January. His suspension effectively concludes his time with Real Madrid for this season, except for potential appearances in the Champions League or Copa del Rey.

In contrast, Carvajal’s suspension is less impactful since he is recuperating from a knee injury. His expected return is in January or February, meaning he would miss both the matches against Alaves and Sevilla regardless.

For the match at Mendizorroza, Real Madrid will likely struggle to field a natural left-back, as Ferland Mendy is injured. However, Garcia’s return for the following game may offer some relief for head coach Xabi Alonso.
