Flooding Shuts Down Major State Highway in East Pierce County

The recent flooding in East Pierce County has led to significant disruptions, particularly affecting the main state highway. Rising waters from the Puyallup and White rivers have forced the closure of State Route 410, impacting critical access for residents.

As of December 9, 2025, State Route 410 has been shut down in both directions at milepost 9.32, near East Main Avenue and Traffic Avenue in Sumner. The City of Bonney Lake confirmed the closure in a recent announcement.

- North Levee Road, under the North Meridian Avenue Bridge
- 4th Street Northeast, under the North Meridian Avenue Bridge
- 11th Street Northwest, north of River Road
