Jeff Garcia, Voice of ‘Jimmy Neutron,’ Dies at 50

Jeff Garcia, a prominent voice actor known for his work on the beloved animated series “Jimmy Neutron,” has died at the age of 50. His family reported that he passed away early Wednesday morning following complications from multiple medical issues.

Health Complications Leading to Death

Garcia was taken off life support on Tuesday night at a hospital in Southern California. In the months prior, he had suffered a brain aneurysm, leading to a fall that resulted in head injuries. Although he initially recovered, he experienced a stroke several weeks later.

Recently, Garcia had canceled several shows due to health concerns, a departure from his usual routine. He did not seek medical attention initially, believing he would recover without intervention. However, he was hospitalized around November 20 due to pneumonia and was discharged after treatment. His health continued to decline, and he returned to the hospital on Monday with breathing difficulties. Tragically, his lung collapsed shortly thereafter.

He gained fame for voicing Sheen Estevez in the “Jimmy Neutron” franchise, which began with the 2001 film “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.” He also voiced Sheen in 59 episodes of the series “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.” Garcia’s character was so beloved that it led to a spinoff titled “Planet Sheen,” which aired for 26 episodes starting in 2010.
