Biggie’s Estate Manager Condemns Claims in New Diddy Documentary

The recently released documentary titled “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” on Netflix highlights the career of Sean Combs, better known as Diddy. The four-part series addresses his rise to fame, the federal investigation leading to his arrest in 2024, and several controversies surrounding his life. Among these, a significant claim regarding the funeral arrangements for the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. has surfaced.
Claims of Funeral Arrangements Controversy
Kirk Burrowes, a co-founder of Bad Boy Records, is featured in the documentary. He alleges that Diddy initially planned an extravagant funeral for rapper Christopher Wallace, famously known as Biggie Smalls. However, according to Burrowes, Diddy later attempted to charge Wallace’s estate for the costs involved.
Response from the Notorious B.I.G. Estate
In response to the documentary’s claims, Wayne Barrow has stepped forward to defend the reputation of Diddy. Barrow co-manages the estate of the late Notorious B.I.G. with his mother, Voletta Wallace. He made an appearance on the radio show “The Breakfast Club” on December 4, where he presented a statement regarding the allegations.
- Barrow stated that Diddy and Bad Boy Records fully covered the funeral expenses.
- He personally reviewed royalty statements and found no records indicating the estate had incurred funeral costs.
- Barrow emphasized the disrespectful nature of the allegations, implying they undermine the trust and intelligence of Biggie’s family and close friends.
Barrow’s defense aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding Biggie’s funeral, asserting that the accusations presented in the documentary are unfounded. Such claims not only damage Diddy’s reputation but also discredit the integrity of those close to the legendary rapper.
