Seth Curry Returns to Warriors, Reunites with Brother Stephen

The Golden State Warriors have officially brought back Seth Curry, reuniting him with his brother, Stephen Curry. This signing was confirmed on Monday after Seth was waived by the franchise on October 18. The decision was primarily a financial one, with the team aiming to reinstate the veteran guard. Immediately after signing, Seth jumped into practice.

Seth and Stephen: A Sibling Reunion

Currently, it’s uncertain when the Curry brothers will play together. Stephen is dealing with a left quadriceps contusion and muscle strain. He suffered this injury during a game against the Houston Rockets last Wednesday and is due for reevaluation on Thursday.

A Glimpse into Seth’s Career

Seth Curry first joined the Warriors in 2013, appearing in six pre-season games. He played for the G League Santa Cruz Warriors that same season. In total, during the pre-season of 2013, the brothers shared just over one minute of playtime together.

  • This is Seth’s 10th team in 12 seasons.
  • He has an average of 10 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over 22.5 minutes per game.
  • His career includes stints with Brooklyn, Charlotte, Cleveland, Dallas, Memphis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, and Sacramento.

In the previous season, while with the Charlotte Hornets, Seth averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game. His experience and adaptability have been pivotal throughout his career, allowing him to thrive under different circumstances.

Warriors Looking to Improve

Seth Curry joins a Warriors team currently facing challenges, especially in ball security. Coach Steve Kerr has expressed concerns regarding the team’s decision-making and overall rhythm. He aims to explore various combinations to enhance the team’s performance on both ends of the court.

Kerr acknowledged the need for improvement, stating, “I have to look in the mirror and ask myself, ‘Why are we turning it over more?’” He emphasized that both players and coaches share the responsibility for enhancing performance.

As Seth Curry prepares to contribute to the Warriors’ efforts, fans are eager to see him back on the court, potentially alongside his brother, Stephen, when he returns from injury.
