Meteorologist Tracy Butler indicated that light snow will begin early Monday afternoon. Accumulations could reach an additional one to three inches. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m. until midnight, warning commuters of potential fog and black ice.

The winter storm caused significant travel interruptions, resulting in over 1,300 flight cancellations at O’Hare and Midway airports over the weekend. As of Monday morning, 50 flights had already been canceled at O’Hare, while Midway airport reported no cancellations at that time.
