Delta Plane Incident Shuts Down Des Moines Airport

Des Moines International Airport is currently closed following an incident involving a Delta Air Lines flight. A Delta plane slid off the runway during landing, prompting the airport’s shutdown.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on November 29, when Delta Flight 5087 was arriving from Detroit. The aircraft slid off the runway amid challenging weather conditions, including a winter storm. Fortunately, no passengers were injured during this event.
Passenger Safety and Transportation

Airport spokesperson Sarah Hoodjer confirmed that the situation was under control. “All passengers are safe and currently deplaning onto buses for transport to the terminal,” she stated.
