Tennessee Titans’ Thanksgiving History

The Tennessee Titans have played on Thanksgiving just once. On November 27, 2008, they secured a convincing victory against the Detroit Lions, winning 47-10. This game is remembered as one of the least competitive games in NFL Thanksgiving history. Following that season, the Lions made headlines by becoming the first NFL team to finish a season with a record of 0-16.

Additionally, the franchise’s history on Thanksgiving dates back to its time in Memphis as the Tennessee Oilers. In 1997, the Oilers faced the Dallas Cowboys on November 27, emerging victorious with a score of 27-14. While in Houston, the team had a more favorable record on Thanksgiving, finishing with three wins and two losses.
