Spurs’ Harper Anticipates Wednesday Return from Calf Injury

San Antonio Spurs rookie Dylan Harper is set to make his highly anticipated return on Wednesday after recovering from a left calf injury. Harper’s return comes following a ten-game absence caused by the injury he sustained during a game on November 2 against the Phoenix Suns.
Dylan Harper’s Injury Details
Harper, only 19 years old, was injured while defending against a dunk from Nick Richards. An MRI confirmed he had a strained calf that sidelined him for nearly a month.
Performance Before Injury
Prior to his injury, Harper displayed promising skills on the court. Over his first six games, he averaged:
- 14 points per game
- 4 rebounds per game
- 3.8 assists per game
He also demonstrated efficiency, shooting 50% from the field and 35.7% from beyond the arc.
Upcoming Matches and Team Status
In his comeback game against the Portland Trail Blazers, Harper will come off the bench. The Spurs are also dealing with injuries to French star Victor Wembanyama and guard Stephon Castle. Both players are out due to calf and hip flexor issues, respectively, but they’re expected to undergo evaluations soon in hopes of a return.
Harper’s return is crucial for the Spurs as they look to boost their performance in the coming games.
