Airline Offers Boarding Pass as Free Ski Lift Ticket

Alaska Airlines has introduced an exciting promotion for skiers. Passengers flying with the airline can receive a complimentary ski lift ticket when they present their boarding passes at participating resorts on the same day as their arrival. This offer applies to select ski resorts in the United States and Canada and could significantly enhance the ski experience for travelers.
Free Ski Lift Ticket Program
Alaska Airlines partners with several ski resorts annually, allowing passengers to enjoy a free lift ticket for the day of their arrival. This program aims to encourage more travelers to visit these resorts while maximizing their skiing adventures.
How It Works
To take advantage of the free lift ticket offer, passengers need to:
- Book a flight with Alaska Airlines to a participating ski resort.
- Arrive early to ensure they can hit the slopes on the same day.
- Present their boarding pass at the resort’s ticket office.
It is essential to note that only one complimentary lift ticket will be provided per boarding pass. The offer is valid for the entire 2025-2026 ski season.
Participating Resorts
Several prominent ski resorts have already confirmed their participation in the program for the upcoming season:
- Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Idaho: Guests flying into Spokane can show their Alaska Airlines boarding pass for a free lift ticket valid on the arrival day. The resort is located in Sandpoint, approximately a 90-minute drive from Spokane International Airport (GEG).
- Bogus Basin, Idaho: Travelers can receive a free lift ticket upon arrival at the Bogus Creek Lodge ticket window. Guests must present their boarding pass at this location for the offer.
- Steamboat Springs, Colorado: Known as Ski Town, U.S.A., Steamboat offers free night skiing for travelers arriving on Alaska Airlines. Passengers can redeem their same-day boarding pass for a free evening pass, particularly benefiting those landing on Mondays or Wednesdays.
Flight Availability
During the peak winter season, Alaska Airlines operates numerous nonstop flights to these destinations:
- Spokane (GEG): Flights from Boise (BOI), Portland (PDX), San Diego (SAN), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), Los Angeles (LAX), and a new route from Orange County (SNA) starting January 7, 2026.
