Three Arrested in Concord Tree Lighting Shooting, Four Injured

On Friday night, a shooting incident marred Concord’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, resulting in four individuals sustaining injuries. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m., and police suspect that the gunfire originated from two individuals engaging in a shootout.
Details of the Incident
Witnesses initially mistook the gunfire for fireworks. “I thought the fireworks went off. My daughter thought the fireworks went off, and here it was 7, 8 rounds of gunshots,” reported one observer.
Arrests Made
Concord police have arrested three individuals connected to this troubling event:
- Nasir Bostic: An 18-year-old who was shot during the incident. He is currently in critical condition and faces multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and inciting a riot. Authorities plan to serve warrants once he is discharged from the hospital.
- Minor Suspect: Another shooter involved in the incident. This individual is also in critical condition and faces charges related to the shooting.
- Keyvyonn Bostic: A 17-year-old charged as an adult for his role as an accessory after the fact and inciting a riot. He was arrested shortly after the shooting but did not sustain injuries.
Injuries Reported
Two additional 17-year-olds were affected by the gunfire. One was treated and released, while the other remains in critical condition.
