Fanatics and NHL Reveal New Winter Classic Jerseys

The NHL and Fanatics have officially presented the Discover NHL Winter Classic jerseys. This event will feature a historic matchup between the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers on January 2, 2026, at loanDepot Park in Miami. This game will be the first NHL outdoor game held in Florida and the southernmost matchup in league history.
Winter Classic Jersey Designs
The Panthers’ jersey design celebrates Florida’s hockey legacy and military history. It features a vintage version of the “leaping panther” crest crafted with felt and chain stitching. The jersey also incorporates:
- Decorative stitching with chevrons inspired by South Florida’s military heritage.
- A rear hem loop featuring the silhouette of the Panthers’ rat, a nod to their tradition of tossing rats onto the ice after victories.
Meanwhile, the Rangers are marking their 100th season with a special uniform that aligns with their Centennial jersey theme. This design includes:
- Bold oversized stripes reflecting the colors of the Centennial jersey.
- The word “New York” prominently displayed on the chest.
- A special apple logo associated with the Centennial jersey.
Both teams will showcase matching equipment that ties their commemorative uniforms together, celebrating a century of hockey excellence.
