The evaluation took into account various factors, including:
- Comfort
- Accessibility
- Safety
- Hygiene
- Management
- Education
Henry Hung, president of the Hong Kong Toilet Association, praised the diligent cleaning efforts. “The toilet host continuously monitored the wash basin and ensured immediate action to maintain cleanliness,” he stated.
Top Competitors
Among the 300 public toilets assessed, the Lan Kwai Fong facility stood out for its superior maintenance. The second and third places were awarded to:
- Kam Tin Shi Public Toilet
- Catchick Street Garden Lavatory in Sai Wan
Areas Needing Improvement
In contrast, the survey identified three toilets that require significant upgrades:
- Kowloon City Road Toilet
- Kai Tin Shopping Centre Lavatory
