Radio Kerry Prepares for 12th Annual Christmas Jumper Day

The 12th Annual Christmas Jumper Day organized by Radio Kerry is set for Thursday, December 11th. This county-wide initiative invites individuals and families of all ages to don festive jumpers and contribute to a worthy cause.
Supporting Local Families in Need
This year, the fundraising effort will support St Vincent de Paul Kerry. All donations collected during the event will aid local families and individuals facing hardships over the Christmas season.
- Event Date: December 11th
- Beneficiary: St Vincent de Paul Kerry
- Funds Raised: Nearly €200,000 over 11 years
Participants are encouraged to share their festive jumper photos on social media, spreading awareness and enthusiasm for the cause. Since its inception in 2014, the campaign has seen significant participation from schools, businesses, and community groups across Kerry.
Impact of Contributions
The funds raised through Christmas Jumper Day support a variety of projects, including:
- Food hampers for needy families
- Santa gifts for children in homeless accommodation
- Meals on Wheels for Christmas Day
- The Kerry Education Fund
Sinéad Donnelly, the Area President of St Vincent de Paul for Tralee and West Kerry, highlighted the necessity of such initiatives. Last year alone, SVP allocated €364,000 to assist local families and individuals.
