Eric Dane, celebrated for his role in “Euphoria,” was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) earlier this year. The progressive neurodegenerative disease, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, impacts nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Currently, there is no known cure.
Despite filing for divorce in 2018, Gayheart dismissed the proceedings in March, shortly before Dane’s diagnosis became public. She emphasized her desire to demonstrate the importance of family unity, stating, “We show up for people no matter what.”

Gayheart and Dane, who have been married since 2004, share two daughters: Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13. Gayheart is focused on being a supportive mother during this challenging time.
