The Game Awards and Amazon have announced an exciting partnership for the upcoming 2025 event. For the first time, The Game Awards will be streamed live on Prime Video, available globally to Prime members at no additional cost. This marks a significant expansion of the event’s broadcast, alongside its traditional airing on Twitch.

The Game Awards 2025 will take place on Thursday, December 11, from 5 PM to 8 PM PT (8 PM to 11 PM ET). The venue for this year’s celebration is the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Geoff Keighley, creator and CEO of The Game Awards, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Amazon, stating, “We’re thrilled to bring our global celebration of video games to even more audiences with the addition of Prime Video.” With the anticipation of Fallout Season 2 and game adaptations, Prime Video is deemed a fitting host for the awards.
Twitch Integration and Co-Streaming
The Game Awards will also be livestreamed on Twitch in 2K resolution for the first time. This allows thousands of creators to co-stream the event to their audiences. Last year, more than 11,000 creators participated in the co-streaming.
Furthermore, Twitch viewers can earn rewards through a special Drops campaign by watching for at least 30 minutes. Exclusive in-game content and chat badges will be available, with further details to be announced as the event approaches.
Exclusive Offers on Amazon
As the official retailer, Amazon will revamp its shop focused on The Game Awards, located at amazon.com/thegameawards. This special shop will offer unique deals on games, hardware, and accessories, valid until December 31, 2025.
During the live broadcast, viewers can access Prime-exclusive deals and limited-time offers on nominated games and new releases. These offers will be time-sensitive and available only at the official Amazon shop while supplies last.
