Andrea McLean Confident Her Third Marriage Will Last Despite Criticism

Andrea McLean, a former presenter on the popular show Loose Women, has faced significant challenges in her personal and professional life. After leaving the show in November 2020, she launched a wellness and life-coaching platform called This Girl is on Fire. Unfortunately, the business did not thrive, leading her to suffer financial ruin over the following years.
Rock Bottom and Resilience
By 2026, McLean revealed the devastating impact of the failure on her life, including the loss of her home and substantial debt. She stated, “My personal experience right now is of excruciating shame, as a result of financial ruin.” In her own words, she ended up in deep debt, maxing out credit cards, and even selling furniture to pay for basic necessities.
- Lost her home in Surrey worth £1 million.
- Accumulated hundreds of thousands in debt.
- Faced the humiliation of job searching in coffee shops and retail.
During this tumultuous period, McLean found support from her husband, Nick Feeney, whom she married in 2017. Despite the hardships, she noted that their bond grew stronger through adversity. “This one is going to stick,” she humorously remarked when discussing their relationship.
Marriage and Support
McLean’s previous marriages ended in disappointment, but she credits Feeney as her best friend and partner. “We’re still together throughout it all. We still love each other and I don’t know many couples who could come through what we’ve been through,” she shared. Together, they have learned to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, finding joy in walks along the beach and late-night conversations.
Health Scare and Its Aftermath
In late 2024, McLean faced a life-threatening health crisis when she collapsed and was later diagnosed with pneumonia, sepsis, and kidney failure. Doctors warned that had she waited any longer for treatment, the outcome could have been fatal. This experience added another layer of complexity to her struggles.
Professional Comeback
Amid financial difficulties, McLean pushed through by starting a media coaching company. She has also penned a new book titled Shameless: Finding Freedom and Resilience Through Failure, set for release on May 21, 2026. In this book, she reveals her financial struggles and the stigma surrounding money discussions. “Money is one of the last real taboos,” she explained.
- Addresses shame and resilience.
- Encourages open discussions about financial situations.
Reflecting on her journey, Andrea McLean conveys a powerful message about perseverance and the importance of staying true to oneself. “I will always just keep going,” she affirmed, embracing her resilience and the lessons learned from her experiences.
